Alicia Clark listens to the radio (totheradio) wrote in eotic,
Just as it had for most people, the end of the world had forced Alicia to grow up very quickly, becoming a much tougher young woman early on. But sometimes, just sometimes, glimpses of the more carefree girl she had once been could be seen by a few people. Harley had, somehow, become one of those people, triggering the playful streak that Alicia had believed to be long gone in herself.
Doing things like talking about kittens being a prime example. As soon as the radio message had come in, she had all but scrambled in her haste to get to his room, practically bouncing over there. Her grin lit up her face, her eyes bright as he opened the door to her. "I have yet to master the art of teleportation," she cheekily replied to his question. "This close though, totally." She held her thumb and forefinger mere millimetres apart to show her point.
Impatient to see the adorableness, Alicia looked around the room. "Where is she? I want cuddles!" How long had it been since she had done something as innocent as hugging a cute animal? She couldn't even remember any more. Sometimes she still remembered the earliest days of the infection and her dead neighbor eating his dog. More pleasant animal memories were definitely needed.
