The weight and warmth the young woman provided against his side was a comforting feeling. Which was a precious thing in this world. He settled Lucille to the right of him, letting her lean against the arm of the couch, freeing up the hand that he didn't already have wrapped around Alicia's waist. Negan didn't tend to use his bat as intimidation against his wives. So far he'd been lucky enough that it wasn't needed. Though he always kept her at his side, waiting and ready for anything. If there was one thing this world had taught him that he hadn't grasped onto before, was that your situation could change in an instant, no matter how safe you think you are. Though that bit of knowledge was hardly enough to stop Negan from enjoying himself. He'd deal with whatever came at him head on. Until then, he wasn't going to sit around and worry about it.
"Smart girl." Negan praised at her mention of keeping her skills in tact. On the one hand it made Negan proud to know he'd picked another fighter for one of his wives. On the other hand, he was aware that capable woman, meant dangerous woman. Or rather, dangerous people, in general. Over at The Hill Top they made an effort to keep as many walkers out of the area as they could. Not only so the people there could scavenge for them, but it helped to keep them weak, and out of practice for when they did come up against a hoard. It made the Savios needed, which made people more pliant to their demands. A part of him liked that aspect in a wife, yet he found himself drawn to those with a more fighting spirit. So far he couldn't complain.
The concern Alicia showed toward his well being was touching. His fingers coming up to run through her hair to show his appreciating for it. "I manage." He told her with a soft sort of smile. No hint of ulterior meaning hidden in the curve of his lips, which was a rarity all in itself. That changed not a moment after, hearing the playful tone in Alicia's voice. His almost sweet smile taking on a more wolfish grin at her somewhat suggestive offer.
"Well you know I never turn down a chance to relax.." He countered back, letting his words fall off as he watched her, tongue sliding out across the tops of his teeth in thought. "Anything in particular you had in mind?" He asked, reaching up with his other hand to trail his fingers along her jaw; his thumb sliding over to trace the outline of her bottom lip. He didn't expect a straight forward answer, the bold question more of a tease than anything else, and to see just how pink she might get at the insinuation.
