Adam & Michael ([info]iamagoodson) wrote in [info]entrywaythreads,
"The devil you know." Michael almost laughed at that, not that he was given to laughing much these days. Something about the whole situation and hearing that phrase now amused him. There was something about that saying that was just so fitting for his life since he left the cage. Of course, he was dead now, did this really count as a part of his life. He was supposed to be asleep in the empty, not living in purgatory. "I did not ask for this, I think I have made that more than abundantly clear. That said I am not so concerned with the state of this place that if someone stepped up and had the will of the people behind them that I would hesitate on my way out the door."

He sighed softly, giving the vampire a bit of a shrug, "I care about humanity a great deal. I wouldn't say I care much for the city, but the people here are important to me inasmuch I don't wish to see harm come to them. My function was never to seek power, I was made to lead because I was created to serve. I was created to serve my Father, not them so if one of them wishes this position they can have it. I would still watch over them, I simply wouldn't have to attend meetings and give unpleasant speeches."
