RP: Begrudgingly Discovering when: 2 Jan 2004 who: Auror Ade Proudfoot, Auror Ron Weasley, Jemma Dorny where: the Alexander private/Public: semi-private // private rating: G summary: Quigley has been missing par day two, its time to do some questioning.
Adeline took a look around wondering how strange it was to be walking back to the same place she'd been getting herself toasted only two days ago. Not only that but she'd bumped elbows with Quigley during a poker game and now he was out missing. She still had a feeling that it all may have been a misunderstanding and he'd show up in a day or two, apologetic and berated for missing for so long.
Still it had been twenty-four hours and there had been no word from him; it was their duty to be paranoid, act suspicious. After the last war, Addie didn't just let things go, even as ridiculous as they might seem.
Gazing around the lighted club, more open aired during the day; she didn't immediately see the owner and glanced back at Ron, her lips curving in a small half smile, head tilting in the direction of the bar. "Lets head up to the bar, I don't see the owner."
With a purposeful gait she then walked up to the bar, leaning on it slightly as the bartender came over to them. "Auror Proudfoot and Auror Weasley, I'm looking for the owner? We have a few questions about Finbar Quigley's disappearance, apparently he was last spotted here at the Alexander."
The bartender nodded, "sold him 'is drinks, actually. Hold on." He waved at a waitress heading in their direction and asked her to get Jemma and that there were two aurors to see her.
"So, you spoke with him? How much to drink had he ordered from you that night?" Adeline asked as the bartender turned back to them.
"Well, the last time I sold to him-" there was a pause as he was thinking. "It was a Horntail Howler, 'round... 'leven thirty. I remember it was before midnight 'cause there was some idiot we kicked out around five till that tried to grope Amathlea over there." He jerked his head at the waitress he'd spoken with, "and the idiot was still here when I saw Finn. Finn was... still fairly sober. He told the guy off, got his drink and went off. He might have order more after, we were double staffed that night."
Adelina looked at Ron and then nodded. "Is there any way to check how much? And did you see him leave?"
The bartender looked at her with squinted eyes for a moment, sucking on his lip before his brows lifted. "He opened a tab...I remember. We keep a check of those in the books. Let me get 'um and I can look."
Adeline gave her thanks to him as he went off and turned to Ron, tapping her fingers against the bar as she spoke. "Even if he was sober at eleven, this place didn't close till like... That is a long time for him to get drunk."
