RP: I know I shouldn't but... When: 6th January 2004 Who: Astoria Greengrass, Miles Bletchley Where: A bar on Diagon Alley Private/Public: Semi-Private Rating: PG Summary: Astoria bumps into the Slytherin she’s very curious about.
Astoria had shopped for a while before deciding to head into a bar to escape the bone-deep chill in the air. It was far too cold outside and although she had sufficient warming charms in place, even she was starting to shiver whilst walking up Diagon Alley- She’d considered bundling up in scarves and heavier cloaks but she did so like the blue robes she had on as they set off her eyes and looked really quite elegant. Astoria knew she’d be much better off at home curled up next to a fire but she’d wanted to get outside for a while and it had hardly been her fault that the first shop she’d been into had had a new shipment of shoes that very afternoon… It was only natural to buy five a few pairs.
Ordering warm mulled wine in the bar, she stayed there long after she’d finished it, talking to an old schoolfriend for a while until he’d remembered he had a date to get to. Astoria had nodded and tried to order another drink, sighing in frustration as she realised the barman had his head practically in another witch's cleavage. When she saw the engagement ring on the woman's finger, she hoped either the barman was her fiancé or her fiancé was nowhere near or she'd never get a drink.
She'd wished her friend well as he left and feeling somebody brush by her, looked up to see somebody she recognised. Draco had – in not so many words – warned her away from Miles Bletchley. Looking up at him, Astoria smiled mischievously and noticed very blue eyes almost immediately.
"Fancy helping a damsel in distress?" she asked, voice warm. "This bartender's been ignoring me for at least five minutes and I'm parched."
