Her reaction had him raising his eyebrow, surprised and concerned. He was a person who always touched people, and to think that she was so hurt - mentally if not physically - that she'd not be comfortable with him touching her had him angry and frustrated.
'You don't have to apologise,' he said, shaking his head. 'It's not your fault, it's the bastard who did this to you who...' He took a deep breath.
'I shouldn't talk about it,' he then said. 'I bet you've been asked enough times about it and I'm not allowed on the case anyway since I know you.'
'Do you have someone to talk to?' he then asked, tilting his head. 'Someone to help you deal with what happened?'
