RP: Something New Maybe When: March 30, 2004 Who: Miles Bletchley, Astoria Greengrass Where: The Leaky Cauldron Private/Public: Public Rating: Who knows Summary: Miles is bored and goes out wandering. Open to anyone who wants to talk to him.
Miles wasn't feeling up to going home from work yet. He really wanted to go see Astoria but she hadn't owled and neither had he, and after the argument, he wasn't sure what was going on. He chalked it up to his latest mistake. It was time to find something new to do that would at least take his mind off the matter.
After a stop in Diagon Alley, he thought about going into the Alexander. He wasn't sure that he was up for that kind of thing so he wandered on. He pulled his cloak around him to fend off the cool breeze. Nearly out of Diagon Alley, he found himself at the Leaky Cauldron. It was warm inside and he hadn't been there in ages. He didn't know if there was anyone in there to talk to but it would be good for a meal and a drink. He wouldn't have to go home for awhile, in the very least.
He took a table in the back and looked over the menu. His pint arrived at the table while he was deciding and he took a drink, enjoying the taste of the ale. There were a few people that he knew from the ministry in the Leaky Cauldron as well but nobody that he cared to converse with outside of work. He watched a girl walk in with blond hair. He almost wanted to say hello but when she turned, she wasn't Astoria. He knew it wouldn't be. He shook his head and gave himself a mental slap. He couldn't be doing this. He needed a distraction - badly.
