RP: Feeling better?
When: 23rd March, 2004 Who: Adrian Pucey, Stephen Cornfoot Where: Cornfoot Manor Private/Public: Private Rating: NC-17 Summary: Adrian and Stephen talk about recent developments.
Adrian had spent most of yesterday entertaining Elizabeth and taking her horse-riding once the clouds had broken and the sun had shone through. He was feeling much more relaxed since Stephen had come home and he was sure everybody had probably noticed. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust the security at St Mungo’s – which he didn’t but that was besides the point – but that he couldn’t sleep with Stephen or talk to him in private without being paranoid that Henry was listening in.
Stamford had kept him up to date on what was happening and he’d heard about the meeting with Lestrange far before the pardon had been issued. He still didn’t care for the man, not when he’d killed William, but it seemed as if he was finally seeing sense.
Or that Stamford was leading them all into ruin.
Either way, it appeared things were moving along quickly and that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Not if it meant preventing an attack like the first.
Showering and tying a towel around his waist once he’d dried himself off, he walked into the bedroom and smiled at the sight of Stephen, moving to kiss him instead of going to the wardrobe to pick out new clothes. “Hello, how are you feeling?”
