RP: Not a good day When: 22 March 2004 Who: Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley Where: their flat Private/Public: Private Rating: PG Summary: Hermione's fever hex is finally breaking but she discovers a new problem.
For the first time since the disaster at the Dionysia Centre, Hermione awoke feeling more like herself. She'd suffered with the fever hex for a week straight. There had been too many injured, too many demands for potions and beds at St. Mungo's, and she'd ended up being sent home so she didn't infect anyone else. She'd stayed home in the flat, keeping away from her friends and relying on Ron for information about how they were doing.
The fever had broken during the night, finally, and she had gotten up feeling much better, other than some aches and pains that she assumed had come from being sick all week. Hermione stumbled into the bathroom and took care of needs, stopping to look at herself in the mirror after she washed her face.
There were dark circles under her eyes, and she could see some fine lines radiating out from her eyes and by her mouth. 'Have I been that sick?' she asked herself, frowning. That only served to make the lines worse.
Shaking her head, she started to brush her hair. 'What's...that?' she asks, her frown back. There were lighter streaks in her brown hair. Almost like...
She pulled a few of the hairs out and stared at them in disbelief. How could that be? She was only 24! Gray hair?
