Summary: Stephen has been a bad friend and wants to make amends

Stephen and Henry had been the first to be discharged, but then they still made daily trips to see his mother and Evelyn. Finally, this morning, Evelyn had been discharged and they were all home, making Stephen relax. That also meant that he had to deal with his obligations. However, before that, there was something else he needed to do.

He felt bad that he hadn't told Millicent about the wedding. He was supposed to tell her when they got back, but then the attack happened, and he simply hadn't thought about it anymore. Now, it was time to redress the situation.

Dear Millicent,

I'm sure you are still busy with the aftermath of the attack, so I won't take too much of your time.

I have to confess that there's something I've been keeping from you. Adrian and I got married on the Seventh. We left that same day for our honeymoon and returned the day of the attack. I should have told you sooner, but with the attack it just didn't seem as important. I hope you'll forgive me for keeping this a secret for this long, but I assure you that it had nothing to do with our friendship, but just worry for my family.

Love,
Stephen
