It had been fun teasing Carlos a bit over texts. He couldn't help himself. Anyway, Carlos was the one who brought up Lou. TK might have just leaned into it and let Carlos believe he had found another lizard. Of course the only thing he found was Easter mini doughnuts.

After reading the last text from Carlos, TK put his phone down on the coffee table and then stood up. "So, I don't get a kiss until you get a doughnut?" he asked as he made his way around the couch, making sure to stand in between Carlos and the kitchen since that's where TK had left the doughnuts.

Carlos knew TK was pulling his leg and more than likely liked pulling his leg. That darn lizard had freaked him out and TK absolutely knew it. The donuts were a nice surprise as long as reptiles weren’t involved.

Carlos walked in and put his stuff away before joining TK in the living room. “Well, considering all the trauma you just put me through. Don’t I deserve a donut first?” He said, trying to hide a smile. He tilted his head, he’d happily kiss the other man right now. But why give in so easily, if TK could bust his balls, he’d happily bust his right back. “Are you going to scoot over so that I can get to the kitchen or do I need to sneak around you?”

When Carlos brought up the "trauma" he couldn't help but smile. "Mmm, it wasn't that traumatic." He put his hands behind his back and bounced on the balls of his feet, not moving. Nope, he wasn't going to let Carlos in the kitchen just yet. "I'm not moving, soooooo, I guess you'll have to sneak around me." TK would move at some point. But for now, he wanted to keep up the playfulness that had started over the text. Okay, well, he saw it as playful even though Carlos had probably been freaking out during the whole conversation. "All you gotta do is give me a kiss and they're all yours."

Carlos just looked at TK who was happily standing on the balls of his two feet. He just pursed his lips at his extremely stubborn fiancé and tilted his head. “You know I could just go around and get to the kitchen. You do know that don’t you?” Of course he could kiss him but he wasn’t giving up just yet. They were also fighting over donuts and kisses. But if this was as intense as their relationship got, he’d be okay with it. “So all I have to do is kiss you? You mean we couldn’t do that in the kitchen and have donuts too?”

"Yeah, I know," he said. He knew damn well if Carlos really wanted to get past him and into the kitchen he would. This was just a fun little game they were playing. "Yep, that's all you have to do and then you may pass." The smile never left and he still hadn't moved from his spot. He was honestly starting to wonder how long Carlos would play along. "Nope, kiss first and then you can have access to the kitchen."

See, now this was one of those things where Carlos didn’t really want to give in. Both of them were being very stubborn, but they each knew the other was just playing around. However, TK would easily be won over by kisses and Carlos would get just what he wanted too. “You mean that I will be able to get to my own kitchen just by kissing you.” He rolled his eyes. He walked up to TK and cupped his chin in his hand, “You are a pain in the ass. But you are my pain in the ass and I actually wouldn’t trade you for the world.” He laughed, “But I’m still not kissing you.”

"Yep," he said once again watching as Carlos stepped closer to him. Will he actually get his kiss now? He thought Carlos was finally going to do it and then it didn't come. He did, however, sort of lean into Carlos' touch. "You would miss me anyway if you did try to trade me in." Welp, since Carlos wasn't going to do it TK was just going to have to take it all into his own hands. "Fine. Don't kiss me. I'll just kiss you instead." He grabbed Carlos and pulled him in for a quick kiss. "I still got what I wanted." He let go and then moved away. "Doughnuts are on the counter he said as he made his way back over to the couch and sat back on it.

Oops his antics had maybe gone too far? He was a little shocked when TK went ahead and kissed him. And he actually started to kiss back when he was offered the kiss. But it was short lived. And then TK had dismissed him just as fast as he’d kissed him. He sighed and went to the kitchen to make a quick cup of coffee and to look at the cute little donuts. When the coffee was done he managed to balance it all using a tray he’d grabbed. “Babe?” He said sitting next to him on the couch after putting the try on the coffee table. “I’d much rather share these with you. And of course I’d miss you.”

While Carlos did things in the kitchen, TK grabbed his phone and started to look at stuff until Carlos was there with a tray. "Hm?" He looked up. "I know you would." Did Carlos think he was mad at him? He wasn't. "I know you were joking around." That's what they were doing. Just messing around. He didn't take any of it to heart. "I'm not mad at you." He wanted Carlos to know that just in case that's what he was thinking.

Aw how sweet of TK to make sure he knew he was joking. He couldn’t help himself and put an arm around his man’s neck. “I know and I was teasing you.” This time he pulled him in closer and kissed him. He let the kiss linger. He was in no rush this time to end the kiss. “Honestly though, I wasn’t sure at first, but I didn’t lose my playfulness and hoped you felt the same way.” He said, their heads still close together. He couldn’t wait to marry the man of his dreams and he knew TK felt the same way. He kissed him one more time before pulling away. “Okay but these donuts are so cute! Want some coffee too?” He asked knowing he sure did to cut the sweetness down of the donuts.

"I know." He knew that. He knew everything the both of them were doing and saying was a joke. He closed his eyes and kissed back. "I'm on the same page about it all. Promise." There were no bad feelings here. And once Carlos moved, he hoped his eyes and watched as he went for the doughnuts. "Right? I almost don't want to eat them." Not that he would eat a lot of them. Maybe a couple. "I think I will skip the coffee. I don't want to be up all night."

Carlos poured his coffee and grabbed a donut with a bunny on it. “Which one are you going to take?” They really were cute and he could see why TK couldn’t pass them up. Before he took his first bite he made himself comfortable on the couch next to TK. And took a bite, he nodded in approval “ Oh these are really good. Glad you picked them up. So how was your day? Anything interesting happen?” He was pretty sure something had to have happened while TK was on his shift. It wouldn’t be the 126 if nothing exciting happened.

That was a good question. Which one was he going to take? He was going back and forth between the duck butt and the flower. He leaned over and stole a bite of Carlos's doughnut. Yep, that was a better choice. "My day was fine. Umm... someone had their head stuck in a banister. That's about it for today." It had actually been a somewhat calm day. "What about you? How was your day?"

Carlos watched TK try to pick a donut out. He was worse than a kid in a candy store. He was about to say something when TK swooped in and grabbed a bite! All he could do was look at him. What the hell? “Really? You take 200 years to decide on a donut and you just take a bite of my bunny butt?” He did what TK was definitely not expecting and smashed the donut on his forehead. They could talk about their days later. He got up and ran. Because he knew TK was going to come after him. He was already laughing.

"Yes, really," he said with a smile on his face. What? He had made a decision and the decision had been to steal a bite from Carlos. What he didn't expect was to have said doughnut smashed against his forehead. "WHAT THE HELL?" He wiped off some of the frosting that had stuck to him and then quickly got up. "Oh, you're going to pay for that." He took off after Carlos. What he was going to do once he had Carlos, he had no idea. But how dare he smash a doughnut into his face!

Carlos couldn’t stop laughing, he still had the donut part left and probably half the frosting. He could certainly defend himself enough against some frosting. “Oh am I going to pay? Cause I’m pretty sure you have to catch me first.” He wasn’t sure where he was going or what would happen. He probably should have thought about the mess they could make with the frosting but it was too late now. He ran towards the dining room table, he figured maybe they could avoid getting frosting on the other furniture. “You’re just slow TK. Come on, give me a challenge.” He playfully taunted

"Yeah, Carlos, you're going to pay." There weren't many places Carlos could run to. It wasn't like they lived in a house. "Why are you hiding behind the table?" he questioned as he made his way into the dining room. He acted like he was going to go left but then he quickly went right. "Come here!" he said as he reached out to grab Carlos.

TK didn't think he would get a hold of Carlos, but he somehow managed to grab him. "Got ya!" That was a good question. He still had no idea what he was going to do. He honestly didn't think that far ahead. "Maybe I should handcuff you..."

“Oh yeah? What are you going to do now?” Carlos loved being playful with TK. With things sometimes being chaotic it was nice to be playful. He couldn’t help but smile at his counterpart, they were pretty lucky to have found each other when they did. Carlos finally had someone he could be completely himself with. Even when part of him would always love Iris, TK was his soulmate. And then the handcuffs were brought up. “Oh well, don’t forget to give me my Miranda right and tell me why I’m being arrested, Officer Strand.”

"You, sir, are being arrested for assault and wastefulness." He grabbed Carlos by the wrist and then pulled it behind his back, he did the same with the other. He didn't let go since he didn't have any handcuffs on him. "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do can be held against you..." He leaned in and then nipped at Carlos' neck. "Let's go," he said as he gave him a little push toward the bedroom.

Carlos held a smirk back when TK said he had assaulted him. “TK, Wastefulness is not exactly a crime. Do you know that?” But he also knew that TK had made up his mind, so he’d play along. So he followed him to the bedroom, yes this certainly would be torture. He tried really hard not to laugh. As TK nipped his neck he knew what this was going to be. He still wiggled in protest to get his arms free. “Aha!” He said as he got one arm free. It was a small victory since of course he would go to the bedroom but maybe if he was naughty… he’d have time added to his sentence.

"Shush, who is the cop here?" He wanted to laugh, but he held it back. But since Carlos couldn't see him, he was grinning as he steered Carlos into the bedroom. "Hey!" He quickly grabbed at the free hand and pulled it back. "Behave. Sit," he demanded as he pushed Carlos down onto the bed. "Stay there." He backed out of the room and then shut the door. "Have fun in jail!"

“Well, sir, I suppose that would be you, Officer.” Carlos said to the paramedic. He wanted to laugh once again but held it again. “I protest this arrest. I plead innocent until proven guilty. Hmm and what if I don’t behave?” He retorted. “Also I’d like to take the donuts to jail!” He didn’t expect a yes but he may as well give it a try. “Hey you didn’t tell me how much bail was or give me my phone call!” He said as TK shut the door. This was all part of the game of course. Plus he didn’t like not being in charge.

TK should have grabbed the real cuffs and put them on Carlos. Oh well, maybe next time. Until then, he would just keep biting his tongue as Carlos kept on and on and on. "No doughnuts in jail. Your bail is 500,000 dollars. And you'll get your phone call later." He stood there staring at the closed bedroom doors for a moment thinking that Carlos would come busting through them any minute. There was no way he was just going to sit there on the bed. Right? "I'll check on you later!"

Carlos just shook his head, what should he do now? Cause there was no way he was just going to sit there. This was not the night he wanted to have with TK, actually he wanted more of TK and less sitting around. He got up to see if he could tell if the other man was sitting outside of the door or not. Since he couldn’t tell, he had to think for a moment. Should he start up more shenanigans or just bust out of the bedroom door or better yet he could just sit here until he came back which would just shock TK because that wasn’t what he was expecting. “You know this jail cell has a really cozy bed.”

TK took a step back and still waited for Carlos to open the doors and try to get away. But he didn't. Okay, then. He needed to do something, but what? He opened the door a crack so he could see Carlos. "If you misbehave you'll be sleeping on the floor."

Carlos was still sitting on the bed just where TK had left him. “I am not doing anything. Just sitting here like you told me to sir.” He also had his hands behind his back too. “See.” (edited)

Wow. He was actually surprised to see Carlos still sitting here and his hands were behind his back. That was not what TK thought he would see when he cracked the door open. "I do see." He eyed him. He had to be up to something, right? "I'm watching you!"

“Should I be scared officer? I don’t think cops usually watch their prisoners this closely?” He was just messing with TK and it was funny because he was pretty sure that his fiancé was confused as to why he was still sitting there. “But I can sit here all night long, cool as a cucumber.” He said. Carlos knew that the cuffs were in the bedroom and he wondered if TK knew that. There was another set in the closet out of the room but there were some also in the bedroom. He wondered if he should lure TK into the room or not

"How would you know that? Do you get into trouble that often?" he asked, eyebrow raised. Honestly, the thought of Carlos in trouble like this was laughable. He was too much of an angel which made this little game funny. He wanted to laugh. He did. But that would just ruin it. "Oh, I'm sure you could...let's see if you really can." He flashed him a grin and then closed the doors again.

“I don’t know I have a feeling cops usually just throw them in jail and walk away.” That was definitely not how that would go. “Also they give them donuts and coffee.” He said as he slowly got up and quietly opened the door to the closet. He was somewhat sure he could run to the bed innocently if he was quick enough. But heck it was worth the risk. This was a game anyway. He quietly dug through his stuff while watching the door. He was looking for his extra duffel bag that he put them in. But couldn’t find it. Damn it. Should he keep looking or not? Dang it would be so good to get TK at his own “cop” game. he dug a bit more but couldn’t find them. At the last second he found them and quickly went back to the bed, cuffs and keys in hand.

TK Strand — Yesterday at 9:04 PM
"I can do that." He should walk away just so he can see what Carlos might do. "No, they don't!" Maybe he should hide the doughnuts. He moved away from the door and walked over to the coffee table here he grabbed the box of doughnuts. He stopped when he thought he heard something, but when it was silent he just shrugged it off and then went into the kitchen. "You better not be up to anything in there," he called out as he tried to find a place to hide the sweet treats.

“You wouldn’t do that to me!” Would he? He might, especially if they were playing a game. So how did he get TK in here? Without making him suspect that he had a plan. He just sat there with the cuffs in his hands. Maybe he needed another plan… he was limited to only what was in the room. “Nope just sitting here minding my own business.” Yeah right! Like TK would believe that as the truth. But he had to try. He took stock was what was in the closet… shoot the doors were open, would he even notice? He got up quietly and closed them very slowly and sat down.

"I might!" Okay, he heard that this time. He set the box down on the counter and then made his way over to bedroom. He opened the doors. "What are you doing?"

He’d made it back just in time, only the key had fallen on the floor he kicked it back just in time. He thought before TK got in the room. “There was a fly in the room, strange.”

He walked into the room with a look that said that he didn't believe Carlos at all. "Uh huh. And I'm supposed to buy that?" He glanced around the room trying to see if he could notice anything out of place. He didn't. He turned his attention back to Carlos and leaned in. "It'll be smart if you just tell me what you're up to."

Okay now he wish he’d knocked the cuffs under the bed too. But it was too late and they were still in his hands and basically useless without the key but he knew he could recover from this. One of the cuffs was open, so that was good. But how was he going to get them on TK? “Babe. Would I ever? You know me.” After all he was a pretty straight forward guy and not someone who got into trouble often at all. Well minus sneaking into a serial killer’s home.. but that was a whole other story.

TK Strand — Yesterday at 9:47 PM
He raised an eyebrow. "I'm not your babe. And I don't know you." Carlos might have forgotten, but TK wasn't going to break character. Not unless Carlos keeps messing up then he might not be able to keep it up anymore. "What do you have behind your back?" He started to move in closer so he could get a peek.

Well, that answered that question, TK was taking his role as a cop very seriously. “I’m sorry sir, I should know my place. And I don’t have anything behind my back. You told me to keep my hands here so I did.” Could he slide them underneath him or down his pants. If he was to asked to get up then TK would find them so he quickly tried to put them in his sweats. Which he managed to do pretty quickly. Once that was done he took his hands from behind his back and said “See? Like I told you… nothing”

He pulled away and then took a step back. "Okay, let's see if you're telling the truth...strip." He wanted to smile, but he held back once again. Now he just had to see if Carlos would listen or be defiant.

He looked at TK with a side eye. “You want me to strip? Do you have any reason or a warrant for this strip search?”

TK Strand — Yesterday at 10:08 PM
"Yes, I do." He nodded. "You might be hiding contraband. So, you, sir, need to strip. Come on," he clapped his hands, "get it off!"

“Ah but that is merely an accusation, I need proof for these allegations.” He said calmly and Cooly as if he had nothing to hide. Although he could feel the handcuffs sliding down his pants but he ignored that.

"Why can't you just do what I say? Hm?" TK had hoped that Carlos would just listen. Instead, his fiancé had chosen the defiant route.

Carlos was trying really hard not to call out TK for being such a bad cop. He did find it pretty cute that TK was trying to pretend to do his actual job. “Well, I’m supposed to be the bad guy. Why should bad guys follow the rules?”

"Sit down." He was going to have to think of something else. And he knew he wasn't acting right. No this is not how he thought things went. But this was just them goofing off. "First you assault me and now you're calling me names. Who raised you?"

Carlos sat down. That was something he could do. “Actually I was raised in a barn. Horrible manners I know, I’m trying to change that. But old habits die hard. I’m sorry officer you really deserve more respect than that.”

TK ended up snickering. He couldn't hold it back anymore. Not to mention he didn't think Carlos would say that. "Try harder. And you're damn straight that I do. Now sit there and have a good thing about your behavior tonight. I'll be right back." he stepped out and shut the doors again. This time he left a little crack open so he could see what Carlos was up to.

Carlos knew his response was not what he’d typically say. Which was what made it so funny. However, Carlos was in a bit of a predicament because TK clearly didn’t trust and honestly why should he? He tried to act like he was crossing his legs to get an itch. But really he was trying to get the cuffs out of his pants. At least if he got caught he would have a defense against TK. Carlos was not a weak man. He could take down his fiancé if needed but hopefully it didn’t come to that. “Okay I’ve thought about what I’ve done.” Handcuffs in his hands and ready for attack

Carlos smiled as he got up, he didn’t care he didn’t have permission, he was ready to take over this ‘game.’ He walked over to TK “You know I haven’t been completely honest with you.” He wrapped his arms around his man quickly so he didn’t see the cuffs. And out of the blue he kissed TK.
