End of all Hope

Gino waited patiently outside of the hotel for Locke to appear. He was glad she had agreed to go on a few more dates with him after their first meeting --getting ice cream and touring the city a bit more totally counted as dates-- and now that she had agreed to come to the lake with him, he had to admit he was kind of excited. He liked this city fine enough, but it wasn't his home. Home was where he could swim in a lake, sprawl out on the grass with a book in the summer, and talk with his uncle whenever he wanted.

It kind of helped that nobody at the lake would give him the stinkeye should they find out what he really was.
