If I'm being totally honest, deep down inside, I've never thought of myself as human and the older I get the more animalistic I feel. Predator instinct guides me much of the time.
It's best to be honest with yourself. Taking time to acknowledge your true collective identity is important. Do you have the opportunity to get back to nature often? I wager that the coyote instinct would thrive and be revitalized. Then again, I admire the way that your coyote instinct has adapted to urban life, finding a way to survive and keeping you vital.
I'm basically a technophilic Indian dog with storm-blood in me, spiritually speaking. The one thing I can say I honestly worship is the storm.
Oh wow, do you find yourself basking in the essence of a storm? Drawing power from it? Being able to sense when they're coming? I'm barometric pressure sensitive myself, but I imagine that with instinct you can pick up on when they're coming.
Usually I deal more directly with local spirits in the spirit world rather than bother with ghosts. Don't really have time for ghosts.
*nods* Do you actually commune with them or just feel them?
And no worries about rambling or coherence.
As for that back, I hope that the pain ebs for you.
