"I just don't want to lead you on," he murmured, pressing an almost involuntary kiss to the top of her head. "The world's on end and starting any kind of relationship, no matter the circumstances of longevity, is dangerous ground - and while you've made it clear you can fend for yourself, I'd hate to be the cause of any trouble in your life." He pulled back a bit and dipped his head to press his lips against hers.
"That doesn't mean you aren't fetching or that I don't fancy you a bit. I think I'd give just about anything to lose myself in you." He sighed and glanced away. "You're one of the most far removed people from my real life, and don't let that hurt your feelings. You know me the least out of anyone and because of that there's less chance you'll get hurt if this debacle of a Ministry passes any more laws and I have to leave."
