"Very well, then, Mr. Crotchup, I'll hold you to that," She looked back at him with a playful smile and began her walk to the garden, holding the door for him. She walked alongside him with a smile on her face, though she was silent. She wasn't sure what to say to him at the moment.
After a few moments, Lisa was sure their silence was becoming a bit awkward, so she quickly thought of something to say to him as they walked. "We have lilacs now, all over the place. They're my favorite flower, very beautiful and they smell lovely. One might say they're . . . enchanting." Her smile grew again and she turned a corner, leading him through a door and right into the garden.
It was a nice place, it was obviously kept up regularly. It was an indoor garden, paved with stepping stones. A little table and two chairs sat, surrounded by lilacs and greenery, and not too far off was a fountain. It was easy to see that Lisa loved it. She walked ahead of him and stopped, looking around.
"Isn't it lovely?" she asked, her back to him. "It's the only bit of beauty in this house. Though," she glanced back at him, her flirty look back and as strong as ever. "Lately, things have been looking a bit nicer." It was much too bold for her, but she was having fun, even if she felt silly. He might not even understand what she meant, anyway. She could only hope so, and hope that he wouldn't tell Padma, who would certainly get it.
