Summary: Hestia is hiding from the registration committee
Hestia had seen enough make-up artistry to know how to disguise herself. She was well-enough known in the Ministry to have to worry about her appearance in public. Hence, no going in public. She'd been hiding out wherever she could. She'd crashed at a few old friends' houses. She'd hidden in some rather unsanitary places, even sleeping once in the Shrieking Shack. It was horrible being on the run. She hated living from day to day like this. But she'd promised. She'd made a solomn vow not to return to the Muggle World. At all. Even though it would be safer. But they'd rather she was around friends and family, and she couldn't say no. Really, Hestia could never really say no. That's why she ran away so often. Easier to run away than to face hard choices.
She wasn't going to tell Andromeda with any of that. The woman was like an Aunt to her. She'd visited with Hestia's Aunt Nessa when Hes was little. Hes had spent time in the summers at the Tonks place. If anyone was family anymore, it was Aunt Dromeda and Teddy. And she didn't want to worry Andromeda with all the problems she'd been having. She wouldn't risk putting either of them in danger by staying there too long. And Hestia knew that if she told Andromeda what she'd been doing, how she'd been living, Andromeda would insist she stay there. There was no way Hestia would let Teddy be in danger because of her. So it would be a short stay. One, maybe two days. And then Hestia was gone. She was going to find somewhere else to stay, wherever she could.
