Dear Ellie, All my friends think I'm an alcoholic, but I really don't think I am. I enjoy alcohol and like to have fun with my friends. How do I explain that to them? From, I'm really not an alcoholic
Dear Not an Alcoholic, It sounds as though they are simply worried for you. My advice would be to ask them outright why they feel as though you are one. I am certain that, so long as you do not often overindulge, it is simply concern for a friend that clouds their thoughts. Regards, Ellie
Dear Ellie, I can't seem to get a girl to go out with me more than once, if I get a first date, I mess it up somehow. I think I'm a pretty good guy, decent looking,
can afford to pick up the check, but my mouth always blows it. I just get around pretty girls and my brain doesn't work right. Any suggestions for a guy just trying to find a good woman? Cordially, Messed up mouth
Dear Messed up mouth, My, that is does seem to be quite the problem. Have you given any thought as to what it is that you say that is off-putting? Regardless, simply thinking about what you say prior to saying it would help wonders. I would advise taking a sip of your drink or a small bite of food before you say something, so as to give yourself a bit of time to truly realize what it is you are going to say. However, if a lady is put off by your speech, perhaps she is not the right one. Best of luck, Ellie
