The more we learn about these creatures, the easier it will be to find ways to protect both the city from future attacks and the hosts from any possible negative effects derived of possessing one of such creatures. I would have to agree with Peony with regard to the issue of helping possible hosts; I do not imagine that whoever inherited this power, if any of those who fought it did, would be eager to announce that fact, particularly in the current social climate. That does not mean we should not investigate, however.
