A scorpion waits by the side of the river. Waits and waits. Along comes a goat and the scorpion asks this goat for a ride.
Understandably this goat is concerned. "What if you sting me?"
"I'll drown if I do."
So this goat says, it will take the scorpion across. In they go, one, two, three — they are almost across when the scorpion stings the goat. Knowing that it will die now, the goat asks: "Why did you do that?"
And the scorpion replies: "Because I am a scorpion" and that is what they do. They sting.
