[Lex/Peony/Open!]
Lex thought on Peony's response quite seriously, trying to account for the new situation she was now thrust into. Without serious nor immediate worry of ambush of other party-goers who might possibly attempt to converse with her as well, she took a steadying breath and tried to put herself at ease. This could all be managed with applied thinking, she reminded herself, and Peony was at least someone she considered herself to be...on friendly terms with.
"Are you here for guild business only, perhaps?" Lex wondered, thoughtful of Peony's admission. "I would think it a shame to not indulge in the festivities as much as one is able."
Indeed, were it in her power, she would've enjoyed many of the festival events, even it was in a role of observer as Peony herself seemed to prefer. Dancing, of course, was entirely out of the question either way, but it was a matter of regret that Lex could only enjoy the ball for a very brief time. "Admittedly, this is a very favorable vantage point."
She looked down to the dance floor. If she only had a moment to put her goals into motion, Lex's foremost goal need not be dashed at all. She remained optimistic of the odds.
