He always returned his favors.
"Yeah, blondie, time to stop slacking and get back to work." He returned her smile with one of his own, added, "I should do the same before I get all choked up at the Faram-damned beauty of this place. Good luck with your business."
He raised his hand in a half-assed wave, headed towards the building door. If he was going to stay here for a few days, he needed to make sure there was a room that wasn't a complete death-trap.
At least he'd have a (leaky) roof over his head tonight. Good enough.
