Genevieve finished her first sandwich and took a sip of tea. "It is no imposition, Juliette," she assured her. "I shall speak with Lady Demiel later this week." Perhaps she would ask the other woman to tea. It would be dull and full of fawning - and, no doubt, full of not quite subtle questions about her health - but it would be necessary to garner Juliette a night away from them.
She finished her tea and took a second sandwich. There would be the need for an excuse, of course. Perhaps she could tell Lady Demiel that she wished to work with Juliette on some manner of being a lady. Surely that would be an acceptable activity. Although such thoughts reminded her of Audrey.
"I do hope there is enough to fill you," she mentioned, looking at the nearly empty plate of sandwiches. There were still the cookies and tarts, of course, but those could be bundled up and sent off with Juliette.
