"I do not find him difficult," Juliette said. She enjoyed his company, and was glad he did not chatter incessantly. It made it easier all around if she wasn't forced into needless conversation with someone she - still - barely knew. But as she grew to know him better, she also found she could easily conform to his preferred methods of communication. A strange mentorship indeed, and not one she would have ever chosen, but it was unexpectedly good.
