"I am," she said, and it was the honest truth. "Thank you for bringing me. I... would likely have missed it, otherwise." Too common, too loud, too likely a place where she could become tan or freckled. Well, she couldn't bring herself to care too terribly much about it. The thought came and went that lately, she was letting a great number of things go. But the more she thought of it, the more she was certain that surely there was nothing wrong with a bit of sun, and some work, and even a fair amount of noise.
"I would enjoy that," she told him honestly at his proposition. "Over the last few years, I have learned to enjoy running. I have always loved to swim." Granted, never in the ocean - still pools were more readily available than waves. And safer, she had been taught. But she found herself eager to test her skills against the surf.
