"Good," he said, inspecting the ears of corn and making sure they were absent of any remaining silk. Theo turned over to the grill area once again. He was proud of his selection, as a seasoned produce buyer, and he knew which farms in which region were known for their quality produce. Already he had a dish of seasoned butter waiting, and both of the ears were basted generously before being added onto a higher grill rack.
While they waited for the vegetables to grill, Theo tried to make conversation. Not that he was particularly skilled at it, of course--but it didn't stop him from making some effort. "You enjoying yourself?" He scratched at the stubble on his chin, thinking. "Later, we'll go for a run. Or swim." Getting in some form of practical training would be the best, Theo decided with a nod.
