Theo grunted his approval at her reply. Prodding the steaks slightly with the spatula in his hand, they were quickly removed from the grill and set onto a plate beside him. "Take that over with the rest," he gestured.
Now that the steaks weren't a top priority, he was able to deviate a little from the routine he'd quickly sunk into. Taking a towel that he'd earlier shoved in his back pocket, Theo wiped his hands and looked around their makeshift cooking station. "And reach for that bag over there." He pointed to a small canvas bag laying on another table. It was the familiar shopping bag he often took to the Bazaar, and today it was filled with fresh corn, still in their husks.
"Clean up two of them," Theo instructed, keeping watch as she did so. He fully intended to have one himself, of course.
