"Well, certainly there's money to be made, for those clever enough to find a way," Ari agreed. She herself worried little. If upheaval was bad for entertainers, it was good for thieves. And she had Bella and Wil besides, and she made a half-decent co-pilot. She would make it through one way or another. "I am glad it is working out well for you, but I would selfishly say that I wish all this would cease. I prefer the city lively." And safe. She helped herself to a tiny sandwich, added, "Ah, well, at least no one had been ritually murdered in weeks. I consider this a marked improvement."
And what that said about the state of things was rather... pointed.
"This Ofelia of yours seems quite disagreeable, really." Which was interesting, since Audrey had mentioned her a few times in quite glowing terms. Sometimes, Ari considered she might need to meet her herself, to decide which description suited her better. "It does seem to me to be a bit more likely that Royse's words are... sanctioned." And that could mean a number of things. She was no politician, but she was not a fool; if the king was using a mouthpiece to speak against the guilds, there was an altercation brewing between people of immense power and influence.
Not something that would be comfortable to get caught in. Fortunately, no one would pay her any mind. But some of her acquaintances, now...
