Kiernan/Mag/Open
"I'd considered that," said Kiernan as he took another sip through the straw. "Ah, well, you only live once, right?"
But he watched as she swayed and stumbled onto the stool, and he made a move to help her up if she lost her balance to tumble to the ground. She didn't, and Kiernan let out a small sigh of relief. "How many have you had already?" he asked, but he raised his glass with hers. "To Ric and Bella indeed! And, ha!" He laughed. "To smashing random chairs indeed!" A beat. "And tables."
As Kiernan clinked his glass onto Mag's, still keeping a close eye on her to make sure she didn't lose her balance while sitting -- it wasn't uncommon, after all, for anybody anywhere -- and yet ignoring the bartender's gaze until after he'd had his sip.
"Hey now, don't worry, I'm not aiming to misbehave tonight," he said. "Just here to celebrate the birth of two of my great friends, and I gotta see this pretty lady home." Of course, it was likely she came here with Aspel, and Aspel would certainly get Mag home in one piece, but the bartender didn't need to know that.
