Siana knew it. She just knew it. These were not innocent civilians using the sewers as a mere passageway to avoid the crowds. They never were. To have given them the benefit of the doubt had been a foolish notion even if they had given her reasons difficult to argue down, even if they had agreed to help her see Prichard to a healer. Siana suspected that the latter point was something that they had only said to keep her from arresting them or sending a squad of other peacekeepers after them after she had taken Prichard away.
As the group scoured the hangar to see what they could steal away -- grave robbers then, this lot -- Siana stayed back, crossing her arms with narrowed eyes.
"Hold on," she said. "I'm not about to be fooled twice this evening. This is private property, and you are trespassing. More, you are committing theft."
