"I was," Emily said looking sheepishly down at her hands, "believed to be dead. But..." And there was a moment of fear in her eyes, a slight tremble in her hands and then she seemed to regain control of herself again, "But it's in the past, and I am not dead. Thankfully." The smile returned to her face but like Penny's it failed to reach her eyes.
"I traveled a bit," she informed, "Saw what the world was like outside of Emillion. It was eye opening but it feels good to be here. Back home. I've missed it a great deal." To a certain extent. She missed things on occasion but most of her time was spent on making sure she stayed hidden. That much was true.
She looked to the watch and then to Penny's face once more, this time smiling and it making it all the way to her eyes, "How have you been? Last I saw you, you were just a scholar. I imagine you've made great progress since then.
