Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
Aspel had been painfully careful to pace herself in drinking. As the promise had been made to the other woman weeks before that Ari would be carried home, even if there was a definate urge to down as much alcohol as possible considering the circumstances of only a couple nights before. Then can the aspect of her own addictive tendencies, and how wonderful booze did truly sound as of late. So, her attention had been redirected as much as possible with the feel of softness, and warmth from Ari's skin, and mouth that the smith could get without being too terribly obvious in the bar which they sat.
When Ari had climbed into her lap, the concept of keeping her hands to herself became twice as trouble some. Part of her resolve did cave, but mostly, Aspel managed to keep her self, and Ari, well behaved enough. Even with honey scented skin, and lingering promises tickling her ear with fingers leaving goosebumps along her skin.
However, when the bard moved to stand only to flop back down, the smith couldn't help but be amused. Shifting, the smith easily moved to lift Ari out of the seat she had fallen back into, and hoisted the other woman up to carry her out of the bar in a bridal carry.
"You did." Aspel confirmed in a completely non-judgemental manner regarding just how much Ari had gotten to drinking, her tone entertained, and a smile playing across her lips. The commentary regarding her shoes would earn the slightest bit of amused puzzlement for a moment. "Have you?" The smith recalled Ari making comment that shoes were always a worthwhile investment, but she couldn't seem remember any particular reasons as to why they would be 'worth it' in this moment.
A glance was taken ahead, considering they had mostly stuck near - if not within - the theater district from what Aspel could tell, it was unlikely that their trek back to Ari's apartment would take long. "How inebriated are you, seraph?" Her tone dropped a bit to house a bit of tenderness within it before the softest kiss was pressed against Ari's hair.
