Re: Aspel/Merri/Drake/Ari
Her panic did not abate until she felt herself able to move again - though the shot had not hit her thanks to Aspel's timely intervention, she still felt painfully exposed. But then Merri, bless him, seemed to come awake at last; she felt the magic wash over her and then she could move her hands again. Her shoulders sagged in relief a moment. She did not like being that frightened.
But the fight was not over yet, it seemed. Drake and Aspel appeared to have the woman well in hand, though... there was still crashing in the Mist behind her. Ari heard it even over Ifrit's agitated growls. What was out there? Would they fell this unexpectedly hardy enemy only to find themselves facing... something far worse?
Release me!
She performed the mental equivalent of a shove. If and when the 'something far worse' makes an appearance, we will discuss it.
You understand nothing.
She did not answer him, instead starting a song to lend Drake additional strength, as she had done for Aspel. Neither of the fighters had made a move to restrain the woman, and Ari could only assume that their aim must be to kill her. If both had come to that conclusion...... Perhaps it was best if such were done quickly. She could not say she fully approved, but she was Thieves' Guild to the core, and sometimes... well, sometimes unsavory things had to be done. She had little sympathy for someone who had shot and thrown spells at her, and against the fighters - with or without Merri's assistance - she doubted a single woman stood much chance. The best she could do was make sure the death was swift. It was out of her hands whether it would be painless; in all honestly, she somehow doubted it.
