Aspel/Merri/Drake/Ari
Merri was still chanting. She knew where Aspel was only from the vague fiery glow surrounding the head of her hammer. Drake, she could not see at all, but had to hope he was all right. There had been several gunshots over the last several minutes, and who knew if they had found purchase? The wound on her shoulder was only a memory now, her hands steady as they finished out the final chords of the healing song she had played. She steadfastly ignored the rumbling at the back of her mind, which kept growing in intensity. She had gotten really good at ignoring him lately; her earlier panic had drowned him out up until now, and she would continue to push him back as long as she could help it.
He was in a mood. But so was she.
Whoever held the gun shot again, but this time the bullet whizzed just past her ear. That did have her flinching, but it seemed the poor visibility was hindering everyone, including the unseen enemy. Suddenly, something ahead of her and to the right exploded in a flurry of flames. Not Merri's magic, and nowhere near Aspel so...
It seemed Drake was still fighting, too.
It also seemed he had defaulted to his chi attacks, but Aspel still had her hammer, augmented as it was, and no voice to cast even if she thought to do so. Perhaps now that everyone was standing and healed - Faram, she hoped they were healed; it was so hard to see - there was time to help her hit harder, too.
The boisterous strains of Battle Song, which would imbue Aspel with Bravery, were her next choice of melody, interrupted only briefly with yet another Watera hurled her way by an elemental. She barely stumbled this time, and kept her feet in the end; Shell and Regen still held, and the pain would fade before it fully registered.
Ifrit roared until she felt her bones rattle inside her body. She steadfastly continued to ignore him.
