She really hadn't meant to be in the Tenements. After all, she was still - technically - on vacation from both jobs. But there was a decent dance bar in the area, and she finally could move her body without it screaming in protest, so she had figured it would be do her good to get out and do something. Except that it would be her luck that the second she stepped into the fucking District, Mist rolled in and everyone suddenly started panicking.
And rather than doing the smart thing - which would be turning around and leaving - she strode forward, easily slipping through the frantic masses and heading in the direction of the trouble.
After all, it was the Tenements, and where there was trouble, there would be Cian Wilde.
And there was no way in Faram fucking hell that she was letting him get knocked down like he did during the docks attack. She told herself it was because she'd have to come back early from vacation and ignored any other reasoning she might have.
True to form, the second she turned the corner, she could make out Ci. And Lea. It took her a second, but then she remembered the Guild had some investments here, too. "Getting the party started without me, I see."
