[Vivian/Peony/Open - just before the fireworks display]
It had been a very long and very productive day. They had prepared the fireworks in the late afternoon, and soon it would be time to set them off, but first, Peony enjoyed a half hour to herself, the first she had had all day. The Scholars were, as always, full of energy, and she must have gone on every ride three times, but at least they had ended the afternoon exhausted and happy. Contrary to Riyeko's dire predictions, the fireworks were ready and would be beautiful, and she was feeling quite content, aside from the dull and persistent ache in her feet. She stopped at one of the drink vendors and bought two cups of hot, sweet mint tea, which would serve, hopefully, to settle Riyeko's nerves as well as quench her thirst.
On her way back to where those involved in the fireworks display were gathering, she spotted a familiar figure alone in the crowd. Somehow, she thought the guildmaster always appeared alone, no matter how many people surrounded her. The decision I was made quickly - she'd go back and get another cup later - as she detoured to intercept the guildmaster's path and hold one of the cups out to her. "Tea?" she offered.
