Gillian/Divina/Open
Divina's current opponent was proving to be more cumbersome than the last few. Less decayed than most, it withstood her kick. With creaking joints a hand grabbed on to her ankle, still suspended mid-air. Surprising Divina with its strength, the creature held her aloft by the one foot. Acting quickly, she folded into herself, crossing her arms over her head. When the creature had taken her to just the right height, she uncrossed her arms with a grunt of exertion. The claws swept into the creature's neck.
Beheaded, it stumbled. Divina pulled her foot back and fell from the knight's grip. Catching herself in a handspring, she leapt immediately to her feet. The remaining momentum was redirected into a turning kick. Pushed back, the knight at last hunched down into the dirt.
Fell knight joined samurai. The steel of the latter's katana reflected the sunlight, and in the resulting flash, Divina was reminded of how exactly she'd come to be familiar with Gillian Goodwin. The daughter of the eponymous family that owned the smithy in the Nobles District, and, more importantly, Li's commander. Divina might have paused to observe the other woman further, but the discordant calls of a pair of mages pushed her mindset back into the fight.
