Ari/Mag/Drake/Kiernan
They advanced by the light of Ari's songs, eyes peeled for any incoming enemies. The cave's hallways afforded very little room to maneuver, and Mag had holstered her shotgun after her first shot had echoed loudly enough to deafen them all. Giving away their position wasn't the only thing that worried Mag. Who knew how sturdy these caves were? If the noise of her shotgun caused a cave-in, that could lead to unparalleled levels of fun that Mag hadn't signed on for. If the cave in trapped the monsters inside the cave, that was good, but she had no intention of getting trapped in there with them. So now she relied solely on her spear, careful to keep a reasonable distance from the others so as not to accidentally hit them with the back end. Since Mag had learned how to shoot a gun from Aspel, she'd been using a shotgun to compensate for her spear's weakness, which was close quarters combat. Not having that to fall back on now would force her to use some of her old tactics if one of the undead got in past her guard, and she found she enjoyed the challenge.
Every time they came to a crossroads, Ari picked one of the two paths and they continued delving deeper into the cave. As Mag walked by a small side passage, she spotted movement out of the corner of her eye and whirled around, just in time to see three Undead Knights come charging out of that passage. "Heads up!" Good thing was, the passage was so narrow, the zombies had to come one by one; the perfect choke point. Mag pushed off on her rear foot and took a step forward with her left as the first zombie approached, generating the momentum she needed to extend her spear and knock its sword to the side. The moment its weapon moved past the center line of its body, she stabbed forward into the opening, thrusting her spear through one of the cracks in its armor. It dropped to the ground, its spine severed, and Mag began chanting Cure, ready to take the next one down.
The enemies were becoming more and more numerous as they advanced. It couldn't be long until they arrived at the nest.
