Ari/Mag/OPEN
While being separated from the others wasn't ideal, there was a bright side to it. Different groups could attack from different directions, and keeping several fronts open could give them an advantage. Mag could appreciate the tactical value of guerrilla strikes in a situation where the enemy largely outnumbered them, which didn't mean she had to like it. Spread out as they were, it would be harder to run to the others' assistance, should it be necessary. There was no time to entertain such thoughts, however; she simply had to trust everything would be all right and the others would return safe.
Aspel was Faram knew where -- hopefully putting the fear of her into the monsters -- but she had charged Mag with looking after Ari, which, Mag was pleasantly surprised to discover, was turning out to be quite an easy task so far. The other woman was no fighter, but her songs were capable of felling entire groups of undead; a White Mage couldn't have done better. So while Mag was the fighter in their group, she found her job was not so much to dispatch their enemies (which she did, gladly, when they came within range) but to keep them from reaching Ari and interrupting her singing.
They had been fighting for quite some time, leaving unmoving corpses in their wake, yet there was no end in sight. Either the headcount she'd done earlier had been wrong, or many more undead had surged forth from the cave since they'd scouted the place a few hours ago. Mag and Ari were slowly carving a path toward the cave entrance, but Mag had no intention of investigating the undead nest without reinforcements. If she fell, Ari would fall too, and there was no way Mag was letting Ari die here.
Mag's armor was bloodied in a few places, but her body was still moving, so the injuries were probably nothing to worry about. She continued to fight and, after managing to skewer the Undead Mage that seemed to be preparing to cast something nasty, she lobbed a healing potion into the midst of an approaching group of undead. "Cure me, please!" she shouted to Ari; better safe than sorry. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she spied a zombie in damaged plate armor move to flank Ari. "Oh no, you don't!" She moved to intercept this one, trusting Ari to stay behind her. With her spear, she thrust up into the Knight's neck and pushed it to the ground, and shot it between the eyes while it was unmoving. Just in case it got any funny ideas about rising up a second time.
