"No," he assured her gruffly. Theo supposed they would need to sit down and attempt to have a real discussion about this new arrangement sooner or later, but for now, this was all he seemed capable of managing. Start things lightly, he decided, and work out from there. She could sort their appointment over through the evening, and by the time they met tomorrow, he hoped Juliette would appear less ruffled by his presence.
"Carry on," Theo said, gesturing towards the training dummy. He glanced down to Juliette for a final time and afforded her a respectful, and very serious, nod before turning to make his exit. Stomping off into the distance, it never dawned on Theo just how baffled the girl might've become. Instead, he thought only of the challenging and important struggle ahead of him.
