When the Garuda dove, the others got some good shots on it. Altair dove, almost fast enough to avoid being clipped on the shoulder by the giant bird. He rolled back onto his feet, firing all six shots from his revolver before it could pass. His shoulder smarted, but he couldn't afford to worry about that now. The beast was fast, and they needed to kill it as quickly as possible.
Staying low, he flipped open his ammo pouch, grabbing one of the speed loaders. Flicking the chamber open fast enough for the bullet shells to fly out on the ground, he shoved the new bullets in, replaced the speed loader in his pouch and snapped the chamber closed.
At Wil's order to move in, he did so, taking aim and rapid-firing six more shots into the belly of the beast. Trusting the others to fire as soon as they got an open shot, Altair darted out of range of the beast's diving attacks for another reload.
