"Hmm," Nate said, looking at the parts with a new eye. "So you want to use the skeleton for strength and support?" It looked like it had been designed as a prosthetic, though. "It'll be more difficult if you have to hollow it out for a person to wear - how do you plan to keep the strength without a central support?"
The hover pads were surprisingly small for something capable of lifting a person. "How do you stabilize your hoverboard?" Nate asked, considering. "There's a much smaller surface area on the boots. Did you think about some kind of sideways-extending strut, to help with balance when in flight?"
Nate didn't tend to work with things you'd want to keep on or near your body, and excess heat production was something of a plus when it came to grenades. "If you had the pads out from directly under the boots, that might help with cooling some," he pointed out.
