Though, if she rebuilt the boosters with a lighter material, and tried to give the hydraulics more boost and made the leg exoskeletons of a lighter material, this wouldn't be quite so-
That was when Nate chimed in, tearing way her attention from fingers toying with a few bolts and cogs, though the progress would hardly seem like any progress at all if she were honest with herself regarding the whole matter. All this, while the machinist was supposed to be working on the picture-projector for Lea. Really, she ought to give herself a firm talking to about her own levels of productivity at this rate.
"Oh!" A smile instantly rose as she whipped around, turning to look at him, and trying not to let her eyes go wide when she realized just how close he was as well. "Um, maybe?" With one finger quickly extending, the hover pads were the first item in which she'd direct his attention to. "I'm trying to figure out how to fit those," The hand then moved to point to the jump boots "into the bottom of those," and then the finger pointed towards the exoskeleton of the mechanized legs. "and for the boots to be built into those so that it combines a stabilization system with protection, jump capabilities and the possibility of controlled flight." The finger was then brought up to tap at her chin.
"I think I know how to do it, but I'm trying to figure out the implications of additional weight, balance, power output for proper propulsion, and jump height will interact with the additional materials and if the boots or hover pads would benefit from being tweaked for maximum power capacity output, but then comes the issue of overheating and if the pads, if powered up without careful insulation, might melt the boots some and how that would impact the hydraulics." A tense smile was given after the ramble and an embarrassed shrug.
