"Yes," she said on a sigh. "And sometimes shouts at me. He made me quite ill at first. He isn't chatty all the time, but often enough, usually when I'd really rather he didn't." She nuzzled his neck, seeking a moment of comfort before she spoke again. "It isn't nearly as bad as it was a month ago, anyway. That's all, really - I fought him, he liked me, and now we're... cohabitating." She giggled. "And here I said I wouldn't ever live with anyone. At least he doesn't usually take up so much space."
At his last statement, she actually propped herself up to meet his gaze - and give him an incredulous look. "I never thought you would. That would cause me... a great deal of trouble. I wouldn't assume you would..." hurt me like that, "choose to do something of that sort."
