INTERMISSION - Ari & Seloria
Seloria wasn’t a performer in the traditional sense. She wasn’t raised to dance for entertainment. She’d been taught a thing or two, but most of them weren’t meant for the stage. The Cassul could have taken the easy way out and simply donated, which she had done, instead of also putting herself up for show. Performing left her open. It left her vulnerable. It was something she didn’t exactly avoid, but didn’t pursue. But she would support the Bard’s guild and their cause tonight. She didn’t have to, but she would. She only hoped it helped to project the image she wanted to give to the community. The woman didn’t hide behind her money, but was willing to put herself out there for the people.
That didn’t mean she didn’t feel the vulnerability. Dancing in front of hordes of monsters or even an army of armed enemies willing to strike her down without a second thought didn’t phase her. Standing backstage awaiting her turn to go out for the entertainment of people she would eventually talk to and interact with was something else completely.
What the girl needed was a distraction and she presented herself a few feet away from her in the form of the rather talented singer Arielle Chiaro. “Miss Chiaro,” she called out as she approached. “Please excuse me, but may I have a moment of your time?” There was no feigning unfamiliarity with this woman. They were both members of the Bard’s guild and she’d actually gone to a show or two of hers. She was lovely. It was easy to see why Aspel would spend so much time with her if she went by talent and looks alone.
