For fuck's sake, was this really Audrey Leradine? What the fuck was she doing here? Alecta hadn't seen the girl since she made it very clear that she wanted nothing to do with assassinations, and, thoroughly frustrated with her, Alecta didn't try to contact her ever since, hoping that maybe Audrey will do so after she's realized she made a mistake. That was, what, six months ago?
To say that seeing her here now was a shock would be an understatement. In a way, Alecta often felt like one of those disappointed mothers who just couldn't stand that their beloved child didn't choose the life path that she's picked out for them and couldn't bare to see them waste their talents away. Audrey had talent. (But perhaps that went without saying as Alecta would have never chosen to mentor anyone without a talent.) Just her luck that out of all the people in the world, it was her who showed up here and put a goddamn shuriken against her throat. Wonderful.
Her initial surprise was quickly replaced by annoyance when, of course, Cian used her interruption to get free of her hold, and she growled under her breath, torn between glaring both at Audrey and Cian. Ignoring his words all together, she turned to the girl instead. "Audrey, as you can see, we have unfinished business here. Now, I'll be really generous and give you three seconds to leave before I'll have to kill you." Alecta wasn't sure if she really would kill her, but if she dared to stand in her way, she wouldn't hesitate to put the girl back in her place.
