After everything that's happened on Sunday - which was quite honestly a mess, and she didn't manage to stay as unharmed in the attack as she would have liked to - taking revenge on Cian Wilde was the farthest thing on her mind. Understandably so, as she had bigger problems to worry about - like getting herself back to shape as soon as possible. Luckily enough, she could easily afford the best healers she could find in the city and thanks to them, a few days later she felt fine for the most part. True, her arm still started throbbing at the most unexpected times every now and then, but she was told it would pass with time.
And now, almost completely recovered and with her husband still out of the city, she was bored. She began brainstorming, thinking of ways to spice things up for some excitement and that's when Cian Wilde came to her mind again. It was a sudden decision, there was no thought over plan in her mind, nothing concrete - although, she was quite sure she wouldn't try to attack him at his apartment again, who knew what other kinds of traps he had? - but she didn't really mind. With some luck, he might be in a bad shape as well after the attack - of course, she couldn't be sure he participated in it but she could hope.
Setting off, she decided that she would try to catch him in front of his apartment, just leaving or making his way home, and then make a faraway kill. It should be easy, almost effortless. But as she made her way towards the building, already in the Tenement District, something - someone - caught her eye.
It was him. Just exiting a free clinic. She assumed it meant that he was indeed involved in the attack as well, although she knew he could have gotten injuries elsewhere too. It didn't matter. He didn't seem to notice her and she was glad - she could kill him right here and there, shoot him, or follow him back to his apartment and do it there on the street like she originally planned, but for some reason, neither of the options seemed appealing. Seeing him again brought back a white hot fury as she remembered the last time she tried to kill him and she knew she wouldn't be satisfied with a silent kill, oh, no. She wanted to fight him, she wanted to win and then kill him, she wanted to defeat him. In a fair fight.
That was rare for her and perhaps it was foolish, as it would be definitely easier to use her ninja stars from afar, but her need to prove that she was better than him outweighed rationality. And before she knew what she was doing, she stepped forward, addressing him, "Well, look who it is again," she smirked, pretending to be surprised to see him, like she wasn't here with the intention to kill him. "What a coincidence, we meet again. It's a small city, isn't it?"
