The flash of light momentarily blinded her, but she just barely managed to get out of the way of one of the scattered monsters rushing by. Her first instinct was to close her eyes so that she could limit the amount of time her vision would need to adjust when she opened them again, and white pinpricks danced behind her closed eyelids. Fuck, fuck, fuckity fuck.
She opened her eyes to chaos and caught Armor falling to the ground, but there wasn't anything she could do, so she remained where she was, taking out the stray iguion with her mace. By the time the area cleared out - that giant serpent disappearing probably helped out with that - she was exhausted, soaked, and her feet were killing her.
Her mind turned back to Cian and the paling. If she ran, she could get there, but it had been too long and she doubted he would still be there. Hoped that someone had found him and dragged him to a clinic.
Still, she hung back, not sure what to do. She didn't know these people - except Drake - and unless someone started tossing healing magic around, she was useless. The second he saw Aspel go down was the second he turned and ran towards her. He kicked the creature off of her leg and quickly took care of it, making sure to clear the area around her.
"We need to get you out of here," he said, kneeling next to her and trying not to look at the mess that was her leg. It didn't look good, and he could see that the mithril was tinged with red. At this rate, he wasn't sure if Aspel was even going to be able to walk. Immediately, he surveyed his own injuries: cuts, bruises, probably a bruised rib or two. It would hurt, but he could carry her. "Let's get you up and on my back," he told her.
