Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,

"Far too much." Came Aspel's call through her helmet to Drake. When he launched forward, she yelled at the creatures, an attempt to goad them towards her. "Come then! You call this a fight?!" Came the provocation as Aspel charged the beasts, sliding to a stop and into a SteelGuard stance.
Ari's song would come at a blessed moment, but at the same time, as a blow was moved to be struck against Drake, one she feared may do far more damage than he could feasibly handle, not when he was their main offensive fighter line, her stance broke, a quick few steps putting her in front of him to parry off a blow from one creature, only to get a blow slammed into her breastplate from another. A low 'unf' was muted by the helmet and a slash of her sword dispatched the threat.
"They seem to not like you, keep it up!" Was all she could manage to cheer him on as another struck out at her, smashing her arm away as the smith had attempted a back handed slash. Magic boomed behind her, there was nothing she could do with it now, she'd sent off the couple fira's she could manage in this mess, and cured the boy with the odd magic once, really, it was best she stick to the other things she knew at this point.
That meant protecting those she knew needed it. A glance around the battlefield was dangerous, but with no controller, no commander to direct them, it was her only option. The two boys seemed the most at risk with where Ari stood and Merri had positioned himself well enough.
Then came Drake's suggestion.
"I can try!" She didn't know challenge but it wouldn't be hard to attempt to provoke as many things as possible and lead them further away.
"Your mother tastes well in soup!" One.
"Your brain must be no larger than a pecan!" Two.
A slash of her sword was given, once again trying to goad them with movement as well as words. The Sentinel turned to face as many of them as she could, beginning to try to back away, attempting to lead them further down the shore.
"And to think anyone is afraid of such a pitiful creature!" Three.
"Face me you cowards!" Four.
Shit.
Her ears rang, her head threatening to pound but, she certainly held a fair amount of attention as a good portion of the monsters turned, if not at the first evocation then certainly at the second, third, or fourth. She had to lead them further away, she had to.
