Siana/Jareth/Carolina
The EKP woman's "Please" was lost on Carolina, who had already turned immediately back toward her previous task, redoubling her efforts against the smaller creatures. Politeness was unimportant at the best of times; right now, they all simply did as they must.
She was slower now at dispatching the creatures. She'd learned to use a dagger with both hands, but was less dexterous without the use of her dominant hand. She held her right arm against her body to protect the broken wrist as she continued to cast debilitating spells at the creatures and kill them with her dagger as soon as they were incapacitated.
Her world narrowed in focus to nothing more than her and the creatures surrounding her. She ceased to be aware of how long she spent casting and attacking. She had to replenish her mana from the stores of the sea serpent once more, but this time she failed to catch its notice—was it weakening, or was it simply overwhelmed by the number of people attacking it? She wasn't certain, nor could she afford the luxury of speculation.
