Shit. She didn't know how long she'd been dancing, but she could feel the blood beginning to pool in the toes of her shoes. And they're brand fucking new, she thought in disgust, trying to ignore the squelching, which was either from the blood or the water. No way to be sure without taking them off. This was just fucking great.
She stopped dancing to mimic Magey's Thunder spell. She looked up, trying to see if it had hit where she'd intended it to - she had no control over magic, having never tried to learn any on her own - and saw what she immediately knew to be Cian's bike fly against the paling. "No," she cried out, turning to go after him. She had to forcibly stop herself; someone would help him.
Right now, she had to help the people she was with. If she could make the enemies weaker, she could try to get to Cian. Without another thought, she started the first part of Polka. He was quickly tiring out; the tidal wave and keeping Ari and Nate with him had tired him out more than he'd realized. "Not sure how long I can keep this up," he yelled to Aspel, landing another kick on the serpent's coils. "Any suggestions on how to get this thing back where it belongs and out of our city?"
They had to limit the damage; protect the people and keep the damage down. That had to be their priorities. There was no way, with this group, that they were going to take it down on their own. The best they could hope to do would be keep its attention and try to push it back.
Which meant they needed to get its attention. And keep it.
"Aspel," he called, backing away. "Think you can distract it and move it further out?"
